This is the ex-British Army soldier and top Orangeman who “stared directly” at a teen pupil as he pleasured himself in front of her school’s gates.

Pint-sized paedo Robert ‘Rab’ McCluskey, a former Nato peacekeeper, has been handed a four-month jail sentence for performing the sex act on himself while parked outside the school earlier this year.

The diminutive 67-year-old east Belfast pensioner was also ordered to sign the police sex offenders register for seven years at his sentencing hearing last week.

Despite the jail term handed down by Deputy District Judge Philip Mateer the ex-soldier and depraved sex pest is not in prison, but was instead freed on bail pending an appeal.

When Sunday Life called to his door the pervert pensioner protested his innocence, reiterating his intent to appeal and insisting it was a case of mistaken identity.

Answering the door in white silk pyjamas combined with a black silk dressing gown, McCluskey told our man: “I didn’t do that, you’ll find I haven’t done that, I’m appealing it thank you very kindly.

“She seen something she thought she saw but she didn’t see, that’s all I can say, you’ll have to contact my solicitor.

“I didn’t do anything at all, right, nothing at all, absolutely.”

At the end of his brief trial earlier this year McCluskey, from the Rank Road in Dundonald, was convicted of exposing his genitals and indecent behaviour on the Upper Lisburn Road in Finaghy, Co Antrim.

At his sentencing on Thursday, Coleraine Magistrates Court heard how a pupil from Hunterhouse college was in her uniform and approaching the school when she saw a parked car with the driver “looking directly at her”.

As the schoolgirl got closer she could see the man was “lying back, his trousers were down, his penis exposed and he was masturbating,” prosecutors told the court.

The horrified girl quickly caught up with her friends and rushed into the haven of the school to inform the vice-principle who then alerted the police.

The court heard the schoolgirl had the wherewithal to note down the car registration and police were able to arrest McCluskey at his home in east Belfast using the plate.

When questioned about the incident he accepted he was the only one who drove the car but insisted “it wasn’t him” who had performed the act.

Defence counsel Sean O’Hare said McCluskey maintained he did nothing wrong and indicated his intention to appeal both the conviction and the sentence.

Lodging a plea in mitigation he said this was McCluskey’s first ever conviction and highlighted his employment and military records.

Indeed, the garlanded ex-soldier boasts about his military exploits on his Facebook page, proudly displaying medals and memorabilia from his time with the British Army alongside his bio which reads: “I am an awesome dude”.

The former warrant officer and signalman was a member of the 40th Ulster Signal Regiment and was deployed to Bosnia and the former Yugoslavia during the Yugoslav Wars of 1990s.

He displays his British Army and NATO medals with pride on his Facebook account including several pics of the gold and silver gongs on display and being worn at formal events.

McCluskey also makes a show of his membership of the Orange Order on Facebook with several pictures of the paedophile wearing his collarette while out marching.

The Past Master of Bloomfield Templemore L.O.L. 490 in Ballymacarret, east Belfast, also jokes about being in the UDA and carrying out kneecappings on their behalf on his Facebook account.

When asked if he got his medals from the UDA, the gun-toting ex-squaddie says: “Yes east Belfast UDA they give ya lots of good badges when you do knee problems.”

In what appear to be tongue-in-cheek comments under a photo of him holding firearms in his uniform, when asked if he is looking after UDA guns, he replies: “Yeah of course lol”.

Sentencing McCluskey on Thursday Deputy District Judge Mateer said the “obvious aggravating factor is that this was an offence targeted at and performed with or towards what were obviously schoolgirls outside an educational establishment”.

“Therefore the sentence has to reflect that and he has pleaded not guilty and according to the pre-sentence report, intends to appeal that conviction so there is no discount for a plea,” said the judge.

He told McCluskey the case “obviously” crossed the custody threshold so he imposed a four-month prison sentence, triggering a requirement for the creep to sign the sex offender’s register for seven years.

In addition, the judger also imposed a five-year Sexual Offences Prevention order which, as part of its conditions prohibits the pervert from being within 200 metres of any school between certain times.

He was freed on bail after lodging his appeal.
