My mum and dad met in Stratford in the early 90s (a blind date) and I remember my dad saying Stratford was completely empty and run down.
I have lived in Newham my whole life and some of these buildings are still here and not too much has changed except we now have more modern buildings. I also remember the little newsagents too which they have now shut down.
