  1. Are you a respectable Toasted Cheese type or a Cheese on Toast reprobate? Perhaps something else?

  2. Cheese on toast

Anyone who calls it a grilled cheese is just weird and I hate you for being different to me

  3. A really low quality version of grilled cheese sandwich?

Edit: I saw few photo on google image and definitely it’s really low quality version.

  4. Cheese on toast ……. But it is known to my kids as pizza toast

  5. Our family (Irish) would call this a “cheese toastie”

  6. I e not read the comments……if there are any answers other than cheese on toast I fucking give up ……

  7. For clarity:

*Toasted Cheese* – the cheese has been melted onto the toast.

*Grilled cheese* – technically correct, but naw.

*Cheese on Toast* – you’ve made some toast and put cold cheese on it. The cheese is in no way heated except by residual heat from the toast.

*Roasted Cheese* – when did you use the oven for it ya roaster?

    EDIT:

*Grilled Cheese Sandwich* – sticking an extra slice on top and toasting both sides. If you don’t still call this Toasted Cheese (albeit the posh version) have a word with yersel.

  8. I don’t care what everyone calls it but can we agree that the way to melt the cheese is NOT in the microwave!

  9. Toasted cheese is the correct answer.

Cheese on toast does not convey that the cheese itself has been toasted.

Roasted cheese is a weird East coast thing. Roasting and toasting are entirely different processes.

  10. You make toast under a grill. If you put cheese on it, it’s toasted cheese.
It would only be roasted cheese if you put it in the oven.

  11. Toasted cheese. Cheese on toast is acceptable (just). Anything else is wrong.
