The US just sanctioned the Russian manufacturer of Lancet, a $35,000 tank-smashing ‘suicide’ drone that has been impeding Ukraine’s counteroffensive

  1. TL;DR:

    * The US imposed sanctions against Russian manufacturer Zala Aero, which produces the Lancet drones.
    * The Lancet drone is a loitering munition that stays near its target before crashing into it.
    * The vehicle is small and lightweight — and effective against Ukraine’s advances.

  2. Oh, did they? Good they did it now, else they could be building those pesky drones and use them against Ukraine.

  3. If this was a real war, the designer of the Zala wouldn’t be allowed to live in Paris and his apartment would be housing Ukrainian refugees.

If this was a real war, those who set up shell companies and smuggled chips to Russia would be getting the Iranian nuclear scientist treatment.

If this was a real war, there would be an active CIA-led operation to poison the supply chain with defective parts, just like we did to the Soviets.

If this was a real war, Russian assets outside of Russia would be experiencing “smoking accidents” on a regular basis and their proxies in Africa would be getting the ISIS treatment.

But it seems that our only choice of leadership for the foreseeable future is between a bunch of cowards and a bunch of traitors.

  4. Why was this not done at the beginning of the invasion? Seems like a common sense target.
