1. How many crimes have gone unsolved and dangerous criminals allowed to go free when dedicating enormous and wildly unbalanced amounts of resource to this one case?

2. When is there going to be an inquiry into the money fucking wasted on this? How many other kids have gone missing and received fuck all funding?

3. This was so avoidable, just look after your kids, it’s simple!

4. So basically their main source and only evidence is someone who is unreliable and a bit off the rails himself, and who has suddenly decided to stop cooperating with police, assuming anything he said before was and is legit in the first place.

6. I imagine the Daily Mail are pretty fearful as well, as that would really fuck up their ability to deflect from the imminent collapse of Rishi Sunak’s government with these headlines…

7. I’ve thought this from the start with this suspect. They have nothing on him apart from his record as a sex offender and that he was associated with the town at around the time she went missing. They don’t even have a witness seeing him at the apartment or hanging around that night or a phone signal placing him there. In Germany they have to let the suspect see the case file they have on them if they’re going to question and charge them. They need to state a time for the crime, the place and describe the crime to file the charge. The fact that they’ve never charged him speaks volumes, it shows the case isn’t strong enough and Brueckner’s lawyer would pick it apart before it ever got to a trial. I think the prosecutor in the case took a gamble and appealed in the press to try and get more evidence. I’ve always thought the parents are covering something up because their routine changed that night….amongst other things and that still seems to be a possibility.
