I apologize in advance for being the typical tourist (hopefully I won’t get on anyone’s nerves) but I will be visiting Poland (both Gdansk and Warsaw) for the first time this week (and only for 48 hours in total, unfortunately) and I want to make the best out of this insanely short trip, so I thought asking the locals would help me not waste time on things that might not be worth it.
Considering that I have around 10 hours of actual visiting time in Gdansk and another 10 in Warsaw, I compiled a condensed list of things that are worth seeing (I am open to suggestions), but I would really like to know the good places to eat. Given the short period of time, I am only interested in finding good local street food, something that you can eat on the go / not wait long and not break the bank (to me pierogi, śląskie, pyzy, placki ziemniaczane and all polish type of soups sound amazing, so I would love to try these especially).
Also, on the 12th we leave Gdansk for Warsaw (where we need to arrive at around 16:30, the trip is actually a surprise for my boyfriend and I am taking him to the Legia Warszawa – Lech Poznan match). From what I could see on Reddit [https://bilkom.pl/](https://bilkom.pl/) is the most reliable site for train and bus rides? Where I’m from most of the buses and mini-busses have an online site of their own (and are usually much cheaper than trains) so I was hoping this was also the case in Poland. Are there any Facebook carsharing groups worth knowing, maybe we could save some time and go with someone by car?
Thank you in advance, I am so excited about this trip. All the best 🙂

I usually use e-podroznik to find the connection itself. https://www.e-podroznik.pl/public/searchingResultsVW.do?startCity=Gda%C5%84sk&forward=url&tabToken=38a163dd2d59b5ab1e54830034fef215&toV=c%7C54041&endCity=Warszawa&fromV=c%7C84762&tseVw=regularP

This is a 340 km trip. While there are a few buses that cover this route, it’s a 5 to 7 hour trip. Trying to head there by car is the domain of fools and masochists. By train you can be there in 3 to 4 hours, which is a massive improvement. Unfortunately, most of the trains headed there on 12th are Express courses which… yeah, cost extra – around 175 PLN/ticket.
