I was in Tesco on Christmas Eve and they were handing out 3 boxes per person at the exit. They’re clearly not being distributed evenly across the country, as my workplace also has a surplus of them too.
If it’s just the patchy ones that’s okay, long as we can still get hold of the good ones
Took me about a week before I could collect mine from Boots as they had no stock
Been trying to get a box for days now and finally managed to get one. I tested positive a few days ago but my partner was negative on our last LFT in the house and the drive by PCR. However he’s meant to be testing daily but can’t due to us running out of tests. Just hoping the box arrives tomorrow and treating him as infected until we know otherwise.
None of the pharmacies near me have any, but my local library has loads. I think less people know you can get them from places like libraries and community centres.

I feel a bit bad for ordering them. I rarely go out but ordered a pack because I used three of my partner’s over Christmas and she has to take them twice a week for work. We could really have waited a week or two to order more.
From what we were told in the last 2 weeks this is the confluence of two issues:
1. Order demand exceeding Royal Mail capacity.
2. Some issue with deliveries to Pharmacies, and probably not keeping up.
These issues compound each other and result in toilet roll syndrome, the belief in the lack of product creates a lack.
