Question for Turks, do these veterans/Turks generally refer to them as Ottoman veterans instead of Turkish veterans? Or would a “Turkish veteran” only be those who fought alongside Ataturk?
I find this curious as a Canadian because my great grandfathers fought in WW1. But despite being part of the British Empire we call them Canadian veterans.
Adil Şahin and Len Hall, two war veterans from different parts of the world, united by their experiences and bravery. Their stories remind us of the sacrifices made for peace. Salute to these heroes! 🙌🏼🎖️
The horrors those men faced in WWI were unimaginable. God help us from such a thing happening again.
Really sad to think how many of their comrades never came home. These men lived long lives after the war, but so many didn’t.
Ottoman vet??
