[Louisiana French](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisiana_French) is a variety of the French language spoken by the Cajun people of Louisiana, particularly in the southern regions. It evolved from the French spoken by Acadian settlers who were expelled from Canada in the 18th century and settled in Louisiana. Louisiana French has been influenced by English and other languages over the years, making it distinct from the standard French language. It’s an important part of Cajun culture and heritage.

Why didn’t you pose your question in French?
Just like Quebecois. Not French.
So far, I did not feel the urge to form an opinion about it. Every region has their own language, and that totally fine; my thoughts would be completely wasted on something that does not concern me personally
Why would we have any real or strong opinion about it ?
C’est pas poison!

Je m’en bats les couilles…
I went to New Orleans recently and hoped to bump into some French speakers there, so I swatted up on Louisiana FR before hand. It really sounds like Fr spoken with an American accent. I like the dialect too, lots of fun words!
