>But as Ohioans prepare for the culmination of the monumental vote, abortion rights proponents worry that the confusion constituents have around the issue, generated from widespread misinformation peddled by anti-abortion groups and Republicans about what the amendment would do as well as misleading ballot language, will hamper its success.
Republicans pushing misinformation in an effort to block a measure designed to protect women’s autonomy, equality, and reproductive health . . . shocked, shocked I tell you.
They blast the governor and his wife every ad break, and now they’re running what I think looks desperate an ad from a self described “pro-choice” lady claiming both sides are lying but Issue 1 just goes “too far.” It’s like sure lady you’re pro-choice.
If Issue 1 passes, the Ohio GOP should be fucking embarrassed (yeah, I know that requires a sense of shame and self reflection). To say they’ve had their thumb on their scale to influence the outcome would be an understatement.

These people’s modus operandi is lies and more lies .
Or gerrymandering and impeding the vote.
They know that even if they lose this vote, None of them ever has to worry about losing their seat.
Even the signs they have up are lies. “Vote No on Issue 1. Protect women.” I asked someone recently how exactly the status quo protects women, and he said that abortions are dangerous to women. Since abortion is actually waaay safer than childbirth, and even safer than a colonoscopy, that one is 100% a lie. I pointed that out and he said, “I don’t know where you got that liberal data from.” It was best to end the conversation at that point.
Doing the same, here in MO
We Ohioans are unfortunately accustomed to our Republican politicians lying to us. Lying is SOP for the Ohio GOP.

Look,’ if you can’t lie to your friends, families & neighbors, who can you lie to’, said the GQP…
