Empty promise: new political group speaks up for depopulated rural Spain | Spain

  1. The problem which such small towns are that such places are usually corrupt and full of nepotism, therefore any average youth with even a modicum of options leaves. The local governments were parasites in the 90’s and 2000’s acting like feudal lords and now have bled their localities dry. I have lived in spain a long time and have a long memory.

  2. I wonder if EU can invest in these depopulated areas in Spain and build huge solar farms. Surely sunny weather is more often then in northern Europe.

  3. There’s no reason to keep running costly tiny communities. In fact the south is full of them, and the earlier they are abandoned the better

It s cool if you want to live alone in the mountain, but get yourself a solar panel and a starlink dish and dont expect governments to pay for your expensive rural haven.
