UK survey suggests 1.3 million have long Covid

  1. Long covid is obviously a thing, just like many post-viral fatigue issues.

But if you want to quantify the real prevalence, include the self employed in the statistics. It’s unsurprising that those professions most affected also happen to be employed by the public sector.

  2. Many conditions have a long recovery time. I had blood clots in my lungs and it took nearly a year to recover, feeling exhausted for the first six months (I worked throughout). A friend got a serious lung infection handling mushroom compost and ended up in intensive care in an induced coma. It took him two years to recover. Cancer treatment can take months and sometimes years.

  3. Its permanently fucked up one of my mates sense of taste. He can hardly eat meat, alcohol tastes like petrol and onions taste like battery acid. Don’t think I could live without onions tbh.
