Take the biggest heel, cover it in half a tub of butter and eat it.
Get a granny to make you soup, then eat it with a big pile of this bread and butter on the side of your plate
Makes the best toast.
Toast it, butter it then tan it.
Toast , a bit burned with butter and Jam ?
Never been that keen myself, takes ages to chew through one of those big crusts,
Best of gear.
My only issue with it is the shelf life. More than a day and it’s green.
Quite possibly, the best toasted outsider in the world. (real butter)
Stick it under the grill wi some fish fingers an chips, some cheese if you’re feeling like a wee trippie to the hospital
Best bread for toast indeed butter and crunchy peanut butter and a wee cup of tea, Aye
Butter and chopped pork.
One Love – for the Mother’s pride…
This is for soup. Broth, lentil or even tomato..
1.Bacon sandwich, with real butter.
2. Piece and Jam with real butter and Hartleys jam. From Grannies ‘kitchenette’ 👍
I’m so jealous. There’s not a thing like it in Canada. I’ve found a recipe for it, but I’m not much of a baker, so I’ll just have to wait for my next visit home to get a decent slice of toast with lurpak.
Makes the best French toast 👌🏼
A wee Hovis loaf – makes amazing toast, but also the King of sandwich bread
Cheese. On. Toast. – Best. Ever.
Get it buttered and dunked into some soup. Yasss.

God’s ain grub!
Sunblessed, best o’ gear…
The only loaf better is the green wrapped plain loaf. Extra thick slices and outsiders.
Butter it and put a slice of square sausage on it, with some brown sauce.
Important preparation instructions:
Put a couple of slices in the toaster. Approximately two-thirds of the way through, pop the toaster up, turn them over then toast them again.
My parents always bought this bread. Recently.turned up with a loaf, the kids were not impressed in the slightest. I can’t stand the crust on it myself.
I never understand how they manage to cut the slices all different thicknesses
