Something positive that has barely made the news today: Full Macroom to Baile Bhúirne bypass officially opens by CorkDon87 Tags:ireland 6 comments A very impressive project, we can do it when we want to. G’wan the lads! It made the news almost 12 months ago when it was firstly “officially opened”. https://m.independent.ie/news/woman-knocked-down-in-macroom-town-centre-as-taoiseach-opens-mid-cork-towns-new-300m-bypass/42207294.html Used this at the end of August. Google maps went mad thinking I was driving through fields. It was a huge time saver. Irish roads are usually constructed on-time and within budget. The current shift by the greens to public transport means a lot of these projects are on-hold in favour of large scale public transport projects. We have very limited experience in public transport infrastructure so assume lots of mistakes and delays. Delighted, living in Cork, gig in Killarney a fair bit. This makes what was a short but awkward journey a hell of a lot better. Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
