  1. Secondary and tertiary? explosions. ELI5: Does that mean that the ship is now scrap metal?

  2. Ok…the photo on the right; this is a case for the scrapyard. It has now a nice site and a…no site. Highly likely also the engines are finished… This is a case for a scrapyard, they can cut of a part of the bow and of the stern, the rest goes to the next steal plant.

Issue is only, all important equipment is in the middle part which is now blown away.

Sad, seems it was still not loaded with Kalibr cruise missles, the start tubes for them are also blown to parts. I have missed a secondary or a nice fire, when the solid fuel burns down.

  3. A burned ship might as well be sunk. There’s no real way undo the structural damage. The ship has to be scrapped.

  4. Wouldn’t want to be anyone involved in Russia’s air defence network these days.

  5. as a reminder: these were debris of intercepted missiles… source: Russian MoD 🙂

  6. Wow if SCALPS shot down by Air Defense do THAT much damage, imagine what would happen if Ukraine could blow up a few Anti Aircraft systems and put a couple on target?!

  7. Seen many a Russian tank turret toss…never seen a ‘whatever part of the Russian ship that was’ toss.. Great work!
