Yes ok. Some workers do overtime and others don’t. So rather than calculating holiday pay and including overtime. In future all workers holiday pay will be calculated on basic pay. So all workers will get the same holiday pay.

Ah the good old 16 hour contract 50 hour weeks every week and getting paid 16 hours for your holidays thing is back.
I think it’s reasonable to just have to pay the holiday uplift but not offer option of accruing holiday through overtime. To me, that’s fair.
I was a contract worker for years and got no holiday pay despite doing the same job at the same company for 5 years. When the EU forced the agency to pay us holiday pay they sent an email around implying they were being magnanimous and we all deserved it. As if we hadn’t seen the law change and they were being forced to do it. So sad to see that’s under threat.
Quick question. How does our worker rights compare to the US and closer to home, Spain, Italy and Germany?
