I genuinely don’t know how I feel about this. I’m in favour of the rules they currently have in place – the unvaccinated keep the right to bodily autonomy while being inconvenienced enough to motivate them to get vaccinated and ensuring that the likelihood of COVID getting transmitted is diminished. Getting rid of the option to get tested doesn’t reduce transmission much as far as I know, and people who haven’t got vaccinated already aren’t going to get vaccinated because of this new law, and in fact are less likely to get vaccinated as they trust their government less. Germany has incredibly harsh laws against unvaccinated people and they still have a lower vaccination rate than France.
