Need help recognising this spot from a picture of my old-school cool grandpa

Title really. I cherish this picture of my late grandpa dearly, and London was as special of a city for him as it is for me, as we both met the love of our lives there. I’d love to recreate this picture some day when I visit again. I haven’t the first clue where in London this is, but I’m hoping someone here will recognise a building or the street! If you even find it on Google streetview and provide a link I’d be curious to see if it’s still recognisable today!
