    27-year-old Vlad Makhovskyi from Chernivtsi volunteered to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the tenth day of the invasion. Before the full-scale war, he was the owner of a pizza shop. In the Ukrainian military, Vlad became a scout on the Luhansk front and survived after being hit by five sniper bullets. He crawled nearly a kilometer with his injuries to the evacuation point. After rehabilitation, he was classified as having a disability of the III degree. Despite being recognized as only partially fit, Vlad plans to return to the front, to his unit.
