Planning to study in Belgium for 2 YEARS(the first 2 years are in my country) , are the dormitory cost and personal expenses accurate? If not , what would it likely gonna be?

  1. Tuition fees at Leuven range from £2k to £7k and you can get a kot for 400-500 euro a month.

  2. “Tuition Fees for 2023-2024
the tuition fee for EEA citizens and non-EEA citizens with a permanent residence permit in Belgium is € 1.092,1 (full-time, 60 credits). The tuition fee for non-EEA citizens is € 4.194,5 (full-time, 60 credits)”

So that’s for 1 year. Bachelors is 3 years. Seems accurate.

As for housing… would depend on what you get. Look around for student housing or apartments online.

  3. I feel like for accomodation you can definitely do cheaper. Depending on how much luxury you need and how far you’re willing to travel. Then again I’m sure prices have gone up since I went to uni

  4. For reference: I’m 28, live alone in a one bedroom apartment in a town, don’t go out to eat much, and I’ve spend 21k in the last 12 months all in. Rent, bills, fuel, random taxes, food, plane to France,… and a thousand euro om my bike.

So I guess I could make that budget work in Leuven if I went for a dorm with shared kitchen and bathroom etc. Probably depends on how much I’d drink during the week 😉
