Arterial bleeding from shrapnel wounds is the most common life-threatening injury in the field. When it comes to these injuries, the primary job of field medics is to stop the bleeding until more significant treatment is available. Tourniquets can be a game-changer in the field!
We’re aiming to raise $36,000 this month, and we have $17,000 to go. With your help, we can ensure injured Ukrainians receive the medical help they need!
Some background: We’re obtaining the tourniquets from a government-only distributor in Australia that regularly rotates the bottom percentage of its stock in order to keep with quality assurance mandates. We’ve received tourniquets from this distributor in the past, and can verify that they are genuine CAT7 tourniquets. Our distributor is currently rotating out 4,000 tourniquets – the oldest of which only dates back to mid-2022. This is an excellent resource that the people of Ukraine desperately need.
