Targeting 11th November for a pro Palestinian march is just ridiculous. I get the war connection but the British armed forces are hated by a huge section of the pro Palestine crowd. Once the protest inevitably turns anti-British, it’s a massive potential flashpoint for trouble.
This raises several questions. How do many supposedly progressive people manage to march in lockstep with religious extremists who hold hard right values? How does a leading figure from a terrorist organisation get British citizenship and a council home? How does the Met and the overall admin feel about groups that are apparently full of (former) leading figures from the Muslim Brotherhood and friends marching openly on the streets of London, supposedly one of the most tolerant cities in the world?
Edit: spelling
I hope the UK keeps their original plans for November 11th. Remembrance day should take precedence.
