Not really an attack submarine. Attack subs are for countering shipping. The OMFG Ohios (first 4 Ohio class subs; Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, were converted from ballistic missile subs to cruise missile subs and now are really their own sub class of sub) are mobile missile silos with up to 154 Tomahawk missiles, 1-2 SEAL detachments, and raiding craft/mini-subs to get them to the target unseen. **Very** different mission and purpose.

I’m still trying to understand what line would need to be crossed for the US fleet to actually engage. For example, would a full on assault on Northern Israel by Hezbollah trigger a US response? If anyone has any insight it would be good to hear.
It’s not an “attack” submarine.
It’s a guided missile submarine. There’s a difference in capabilities.
