  1. There aren’t many options really, the terrorist problem needs ongoing management.

  2. Makes total sense, when you win a war vs a place with an extremely problematic populous, you occupy and de-radicalise them, de militarise them. See Germany post WW2

  3. 1. wipe out Hamas

    2. create buffer zones inside the areas bordering Israel to create more defensive depth, occupy with Israeli military

    3. install the Palestinian authority to rule the rest of the territory but with the Israelis having the capacity to go in when necessary with their military

  4. Oh man, I thought he said “when this is over, Israel is no longer responsible for Gaza’s security”

  5. >Marwan Abdullah, who is among thousands of people sheltering at Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital, said they heard constant explosions overnight as ambulances brought dead and wounded in from the Shati camp. “We couldn’t sleep. Things get worse day by day,” he said.

Someone should tell this guy that Shifa Hospital is over Hamas headquarters.

It has been pointed out by Shin Bet, the West Bank Palestinian Authority, the Washington Post, Amnesty International, al-Nukba (part of al-Qassam, the independent military wing of Hamas), the IDF, and allegedly “[every kid in Gaza](https://goachronicle.com/hamas-headquarters-under-shifa-hospital-every-kid-in-gaza-knows-this-fauda-creator-avi-issacharoff/).”

  6. Our, US, tax dollars give Israel $3.3 billion dollars every year. We should not be giving a single extra dollar to aid their religious war. We have no place in this war. Israel has one of the most advanced militaries on the planet, they don’t need any extra help killing poor civilians, they can do that perfectly fine on their own. We should not be involved one bit. Ukraine is 1000x more important to our western European allies and should be where our focus is.

  7. There will never be a two state solution since the one side will never recognize the other. Israel will not handle the government in Gaza, but it will oversee the strip for a good while to make sure no terror cells pop up, as well as continue to disarm it in full.
I hope the Jordanians, Egypt or Saudis will manage and build a government in Gaza but with all their “support” of Palestinians, they don’t want anything to do with them.

And we all know a western country can’t “democratize” a radical Islamist population.

  8. So it’s an occupation of Gaza and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians there, not just ‘Hamas elimination plan’

  9. Are we back to the Israeli military governate of post-1967?

  10. “Gaza is the largest pow camp in the world and we will be the guards. This has never happened to us so we don’t know better than to do it to others.”

  11. Looks like you guys finally banned all the people who had anything to say that wasn’t bootlicking.

  12. Well duh?

“we are going away now, but don’t you dare smuggle weapons in again, build more bases and plan other attacks behind our back ok??”

  13. Would be nice to see a 2 state solution and to stop the settlements in the West Bank though. However, I really don’t see Palestinians agreeing to this especially after all the heavy bombing in Gaza.

  14. Judging by the job done by Palestinians & Friends the past three-quarters of a century, probably a good idea.

  15. Pretty sure people opposed to Israel are not gonna like this.

  16. Israel’s current actions in Gaza are only making Israel less secure. Violence begets violence

  17. I’ve heard a lot of voices in Israeli politics about turning Gaza into an equivalent of Area B – self governance for Palestinians in everything besides security.

In B areas in the West Bank the IDF constantly arrests terror operatives, preventing anything from developing to the terrible state of Gaza or even Jenin.

  18. So they just take gaza ok. Does that mean this will be handled like the Westbank where Settlers can just come and take what they want?

  19. I think this was obviously the way it would turn out for the beginning. The question is how long and what else will they do while they’re there. If they combine infrastructure development with their (hopefully) deradicalization efforts then an occupation could turn out well in the long term. But then again based on the overall factors of the region it’ll probably be pear shaped for the start and nothing will change.

  20. This is really the only reasonable and feasible option for Israel if it doesn’t want to do this war over again.

  21. Ah yes. Because an occupying force worked so well last time…

Fucking Bibi, go to jail already

  22. Why would they not just take over Gaza, push out the palistinians and make Gaza their own?

  23. So many responses only seem to see the Palestinians in Gaza as the problem for Israel to solve. Doesn’t Israel also have problems to be addressed to improve the situation?

  24. those living in gaza wanted isarel out and they got what they wanted….only to do shit things and handed israel an excuse on a silver platter.

there will never be a free palestine until hamas is exterminated and those haters decided to love their children more.
