Think it’s a good thing for the whole pyramid.
Well at the top level it’s already too late because we already have state backed clubs who will just continue to extort every possible loophole.
At the lower level, I’m not sure a regulator put in place by a Tory government will be all that keen on actually benefitting small clubs from working class areas.
I’m sure having an extra level of bureaucracy on top of the premier league, FA, UEFA and FIFA will fix everything this time, right?
About time.
I know it’s a business, but allowing nation states to own teams is just too much. Pretty soon it’s going to be rare when a nation owned team doesn’t win an English trophy.
