  1. >There was “not a single sign” the dog could act in that way, she told Sky News.

    >She’s very protective of people walking past the house

    🤔

    >”We’re like, ‘It’s nonsense, it’s nonsense’, until you actually have to pull a 50kg dog off your son and I think then we start thinking,”

I mean, maybe you should be thinking about what you would do when a dog bred for fighting decides to fight _before_ you invite it into your house with children?

  2. Wow it’s almost like they’re wrong about how safe their dogs are. It’s a pity they wait until their dogs attack someone before they realise this.

(And by someone, I mean a family member, because actually their dog attacking a random person might not be enough to convince them)

  3. So. You bought a dog which breed is known to be problematic. And you’re surprised when the dog does what’s in its nature?

She needs the kid taken off her. Utterly irresponsible twat.

  4. >”Every dog owner in this country should have to have a licence, every dog should have to undergo some sort of training so that somebody other than the dog owner has witnessed that dog and seen the type of temperament they are,” she added.

Now she’s an expert on dog regulation.

The lady who couldn’t/ignored research on a dog breed before she bought.

Who got a dog when knew nothing about dog behaviour.

Who left her small child alone with a dog she’d only had for months, especially when it’s of a breed notorious for attacking people.

Dog licensing is a nice idea, but completely unenforceable.

Dogs are not elephants, they’re cheap and easy to transport. There’s no way you can regulate their sale or ownership.

It’s down to buyers first and breeders second.

If people stop buying these dogs, if they do their research and they learn how to find GOOD dogs…

If they take responsibility for training and socialising their dogs *(not wait for the government to force them)…*

And if they stop buying dogs that are bred to catch and kill large animals…

Then demand will disappear for these dogs.

    Breeders will change their supply.

And these incidents will be rarer.

Never extinct, humans are dumb and entitled. But rarer.

  5. I’d link the leopards ate my face subreddit only that’s too sensitive given the context

  6. Woman surprised that attack dog attacked someone. How stupid do you have to be to actually have one of these animals in your home?

  7. What is the purpose of fighting breeds of dogs ?

What do we need them here for ?

The mother is just super lucky she is not planning a funeral.

At this point no owner of an XL bully should be in denial, let alone allow their dogs to come into contact with humans or other dogs.

  8. We had a Rough Haired Collie when I was a kid, she was the softest most gentle dog I’ve ever known & even she bit me a few times when I was a twat, difference being is she wasn’t a breed that’s designed to do what xl bullies & alike are.

  9. Pro tip:

Never own a dog you couldn’t beat in a fight

  10. It’s really quite simple. Any dog can attack, but if a chihuahua attacks me I’m punting it into the fucking stratosphere. If an XL bully attacks me, even as an average sized man, I’m at the very least going to have quite serious injuries.

  11. “I didn’t realise dog would attack my own child”, says a woman who opposed the “Prevent Dogs Attacking Children” Act.
