  1. Have hospitals run out of fuel yet? They’re making Hanukkah look bad by comparison.

  2. If Israel had that many civilian casualties they would be claiming it would and existential apocalyptic humanitarian crisis for them.

  3. There is no humanitarian crisis if you don’t consider Palestinians humans…

  4. Hold 240 people hostage, get fucked.
    Release them, get food.

  5. This is the problem with this conflict. Both sides often make statements that go contrary to reality. I observe that this often comes from the Palestinian or Pro palestinian side, but as we can see here Israel isn’t immune to it either.

How these countries – and the people in them – can make such claims is beyond me. We know they’re lying, they know they’re lying. Information is out there on social media, even if you filter out the 90% lies and propaganda posts you’ll see plenty of very concerning human suffering happening in Gozo. Not only just by Israel’s strong handed approach but by Hamas contributing to it by various means (not allowing tunnels to be used for civilians, stealing of rations and fuel, telling people not to flee / preventing people to flee south etc).

  6. >What does it mean, a humanitarian crisis? …there is no humanitarian crisis, based on the international humanitarian law right now in Gaza.

    Maybe is it r/technicallythetruth ?

Edit: It’s clearly you miss my point:

Words are important, and their definitions are crucial for efficient conversation. Not all semantic dialogue carries hidden intentions. You are referring, as he said, to everything in Gaza being business as usual.

  7. The claim is not on its face absurd. As the ambassador mentions, combat operations are not preventing the flow of aid. Gaza’s a war zone, conditions will not be comfortable for civilians. Things have to reach a particular threshold for there to be a “crisis” and make a humanitarian pause necessary.

  8. Meanwhile, Egypt can open “their controlled” Rafah border gate with Gaza to let in as much humanitarian aid as they can anytime they like.

  9. I’m voting for Biden and even I think this is horseshit.

  10. He also encourages everyone to stop referring to Palestinians as “people”.

It’s a joke but you can almost hear it.

  11. I absolutely hate how black and white all this situation is being pushed.

I support no one but the dying innocents.

  12. Yes we know we’re going to watch you kill everyone possible and deny there are any victims but yourselves… classic

  13. I liked it better when they bragged about it. At least that’s honest. They don’t care. The suffering is the point.

  14. I will always have support for the existence of Israel, but goddamn do these ghouls in power the last few decades make it hard

  15. Hard to see a humanitarian crisis when you don’t seen your opponent as human

  16. Ain’t no humanitarian crisis if you think that the people in Gaza aren’t human.

  17. It weirds me out how it’s always the Israeli political apparatus that puts out these kinds of jingoistic lies which do Israel no favors while the IDF that are actually fighting this war have been playing it straight with the facts:

Openly admitting to civilian casualties when they occur, showing the ways they attempt to avoid them, and proving how Hamas forces their hand by attacking Israel from and building hideouts within civilian structures.

If Israel focused their propaganda efforts on such level heads as Col. Conricus rather than these blustering idiots in suits their international image would be much better.

  18. Dumb fucking take, regardless of where you land on this conflict anyone with half a brain can see that civilians are suffering. It’s a literal war zone if that’s not a humanitarian crisis idk what is

  19. It’s really interesting to me how when people were being raped, slaughtered, abducted; there were actual bombings of hospitals & schools by Russia in Ukraine, every other post /comment was people from Muslim countries minimizing it and denying it was genocide. They justified Russian atrocities. There were whataboutisms abound. They made comments like “nobody would care if this was a Muslim country”. And then a terrorist government from a Muslim country, along with many of its citizens, invades a Jewish country. Hamas & co. does exactly what Russia did but over a span of two days. The Jewish country retaliates and people are calling their right to protect their country and to stop being terrorized “a humanitarian crisis”. Hamas planned the provocative attack but did nothing to protect its people. Of course there will be deaths, it’s a war. This is not a humanitarian crisis. It’s a war. If there is a genocide, it is was Hamas’ plan to genocide the Palestinians. Israel could’ve wiped Gaza out of existence long ago if it wanted to. If people can’t see how all of these conflicts were provoked, by design and aren’t actually about Palestinians, then there’s no hope for this world.

  20. I’m Israeli and even without the war I know there is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza with how Hamas treats the average person. We have a lot of stupid people in Parliament, please ignore them.

  21. Bull fucking shit there’s no crisis. I understand the need to get rid of Hamas but denying the reality of the situation is disgusting. Israel having needed to be pressured time after time to do the basic requirements a country at war is required to do is why it has created an entire international movement against them on the global geopolitical stage.

  22. If you don’t see them as human beings then there’s no problem.

  23. So how many aspects of the Israel government need to openly come out and say Palestinians are not human and deserve to die before people acknowledge it as the fundamental policy of the Israel government? The only way you can see literally millions of people displaced (mostly women and children) as anything other than a humanitarian crisis is if you do not see those displaced people as human that is a simple fact

  24. this situation can easily be fixed if Hamas returns the 240 kidnapped hostages which they are holding.
