Jesus, I’d say the last few fell out of her like shoes falling out of an attic.
How the fuck did they keep an eye on them all. Like imagine one kid going nuts then the other 9 to deal with. Some woman!
Deadly for the dad. He just burns off to work.
He’s got some spring in his step leaving that place behind for the day.
This is Ballyfermot, no?
My dad had 10 brothers and 2 sisters. Catholics know how to breed.
Moved to England (50s maybe?) and had to change our family name because of anti-Irish sentiment, but I’m not surprised if [another] a family with 13 kids turns up.
I still have a very Irish sounding surname and my grandparents accent probably didn’t fool anyone.
The auld lad looked only delighted to be fecking off to work….🤣

Ban contraceptives and tell women to do their marital duty or else (we only outlawed marital rape in 1990). It was pretty normal for women to have 10 children back then. The average was 3.9 per woman in the ‘60’s versus 1.7 today. https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.DYN.TFRT.IN?locations=IE
