  1. It’s weird seeing the black cabs.
    Unchanged even up to today.

    They almost look anachronistic in that photo.

  2. I think I prefer the physical adverts over the digital ones, something cool about them being an actual neon sign.

  3. Weird mix of stuff that’s very different, like some of the cars and the physical ads rather than screens, and things that are identical to today like… almost everything else; the taxis, the road furniture, the crowds, that specific railing for some reason.

    I’m sure some people would’ve liked phone boxes to have remained red and made out of cast iron, as well as the Routemasters (well… I know a lot would’ve preferred them to the Boris Busses)

  5. I am in a Facebook group about my hometown memories and it is wonderful to see how the town was and has changed over the last 100+ years. I don’t know London very well but I am guessing that most of the buildings in this photo are still standing.
