We were never politically neutral, we are militarily not aligned and as such are military neutral
And why should we? Turning a blind eye to apartheid while the rest of the western world eggs on Israel’s grand plan of taking over Gaza and by extension wiping out the Palestinians there?
Yeah, glad we aren’t politically neutral on Israels bloodlust. And the ambassador now has given us enough guff to warrant her expulsion.
Can we put a muzzle on this one, she’s as bad as the Russian lad.
She talks a big talk for someone only three months in the job.
When is this mog booking her flight back to Tel Aviv?
What’s that thing called where people shift the meaning of things to suit their narrative?
“This horrible terror attack shows terror knows no borders.”
Why can’t they point that towards themselves with their activities since the 7th October?
The neck on this one; still claiming victim status when her military has butchered thousands in the past few weeks.
Who the fuck is “political neutral”? The Swiss – there’s a bunch of lads to emulate /s
I think she is confused.
Wouldn’t condemning both Hamas and Israel make us neutral?
Blindly supporting Israel would mean we are no neutral.
Military neutrality does not equal political neutrality .
Israel has killed 10,000 Palestinians. It’s a bit hard to stand by while innocent people are massacred.
Its a humanitarian issue rather than a political one. You can’t be neutral on genocide
Why should we be neutral when an apartheid state is engaging in war crimes?
Captain obvious
>The ambassador said she had seen more persistent criticism towards Israel from Ireland.
i mean its warranted
Fuck off Dana
Of all of the things she could draw attention to, she chose this?
Israel terrorised Palestine for years, and they’re still doing it. What Hamas have done is disgusting, but Israel are punishing an entire place for their actions. I’m just saying, this situation works both ways. A lot of people are choosing to ignore the fact that there are a lot of innocent Palestinians suffering because of what Hamas did.
This is awful on both sides, we can condemn both sides of this atrocity. Whatever Hamas has done is not so different from what Israel has done. The IDF shot a child in the head earlier this year, they’re well trained and shoot to kill. Hamas have been beheading babies, it’s a double edged sword.
Sharp as a cueball, this one.
Ambassador needs to go home.
That’s the joy of politics I guess. For the most part, absolutely nobody is neutral because everyone has an opinion. Being politically neutral just means you sit on your hands and keep quiet while others argue.
Israel bad, russia bad, ira bad, ukraine good, Palestine good, hamas good, I dont get it,
> Mr Varadkar also said that the rising number of civilian deaths in Gaza, particularly of children, as “deeply shocking”.
Why can’t this be put towards the ambassador?
Im so glad that ireland is getting flack from isreal. It means we are doing something right
>She said she did not hear protesters condemn Hamas or call for the release of hostages.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a protest where the protestors pause do both-sides-isms. Like does she think that people protesting the War on Terror should have had little signs saying “but 9/11 was also bad!”

She should have been expelled past week.
Good.
