  1. German democracy – you can vote for whoever you like, as long as they agree with us.

  2. CDU and SPD swapping power for another 100 years. I love democracy.

  3. Hopefully more reporting about the problematic statements comes out, far too many people still think the AfD is harmless.

  4. itt: the old misconception that criticism is the same thing as censorship or shutting people up.

verfassungsschutz says the afd is an extremist organization. do what you want with that information, including still voting for them, but in case you were wondering, now you know you’re intrigued by what a highly influencial government watchdog considers extreme right.

and for the uninitiated, it’s to little surprise that germany may be a bit nervous when it comes to ultra right movements gaining traction.

  5. Apparently a huge chunk of the German population now fits that description. Disturbing. Also disturbing that the current government isn’t doing anything to try to address any grievances in any way.

  6. If you don’t want people voting for the AfD maybe you should be listening to those who have concerns about immigration.

Idk seems like an easy solve to me

  7. Nothing can stop them right now. Alot of germans will still vote for an extremist party, if they have no alternative. No other party is willing to take the migration Problem seriously enough. Which the AFD promises to do, even if they needed to Reform the EU (which is impossible). So people will believe them, until proven otherwise.

  8. It’s looking like they’re scared of lefties and righties.

Is Germany having a US idiocracy moment?

  9. The squealing when AfD gains some seats in the next election will be a delight to witness

  10. The AfD exists because German politics suffer from everyone already being part of the establishment. Everyone already governed with everyone, at least locally. Everyone already made compromises, watering down the message. Oh, the government loses support? Well I guess it’s back to good o’le CDU-SPD then. And nothing ever changes.

The problem is that besides the AfD everyone in German politics agrees with eachother on a solid 70-80% of things. And so they absorb any non-mainstream opinion and attract a huge variety of voters.

  11. Keep blackwashing White history on TV and Europe will only get more and more extreme

  12. I hope they do a better job than Weimar did with the NAZI party.
