Can I tell you the story of how proud I am of my mom? She’s 82, read the ballot language and was gonna vote no.
When I went to pick up her absentee ballot she had done research and she looked at me and said “This means mothers at risk of dying may just die, right?”
Yep, mom, that’s right.
She voted yes.
Then I explained to her that the ballot language was tweaked before we voted to confuse the voters. I didn’t want to browbeat her, and I certainly didn’t have to.
