In this ‘De-occupation’ episode, we share the stories of resistance and liberation of the city of Kupiansk and the village of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, in Slobozhanshchyna region. We visited these settlements in November 2022 to record the stories of the soldiers who participated in the counter-offensive. We met the Department commander of the Achilles Company, Rustam Nurhudin, who showed us the places where the fiercest battles were fought. We got acquainted with the commander of the Achilles Company, Yurii Fedorenko, who explained how the joint efforts of the Territorial Defence Forces, Special Operations Forces, and the 92nd Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces contributed to liberating these territories successfully. And we also talked to Oleksandr Solovian, deputy battalion commander of the moral and psychological support of the 92nd Brigade. He spoke about the specifics of the counteroffensive operation and the challenges our defenders faced.
