  1. hard to march with zionists, pro-colonizers, pro-apartheid, pro-genocide. People are marching with the jews, they are helping to lead anti-zionist anti-israeli demonstrations across the planet. nice propaganda in this sub tho. 🤡

  2. Why would they march? If the government gave a shit they would change anything without marching anyways

  3. Because most the Jewish community in France isn’t interested in marching against the genocide. It’s quite the opposite actually. They support the current bombing of Gaza as if this was self-defense. So why should the French people care?

  4. I don’t march for anything, especially not something contentious that might be met with counter-protesters. I just think most of the disorganized, chaotic ones (most of them) disgrace our cities (these are not stages for your drama to play out on) and they almost certainly become a nuisance to someone.

Often attendants are impure of heart and express things like rage and hatred, further degrading us and adding to the profane nature of their romp through the streets. Not a fan of marches

  5. They don’t march in solidarity against the anti ethnic European propaganda and violence. They actively vote against ethnic European interests. Why should we care?

  6. Anyone joining such a march at this time would likely be perceived as supporting what’s going on in Gaza. It’s not complicated. Is it?

  7. The plain, simple and non-sensetionalized answer is that it’s absolutely normal behavior.

When people were marching to end racial based police brutality under the banner of “Black Lives Matter”, you’d be hard-pressed to find people willing to march for any other “X lives Matter”.

Of course all lives matter, but right at this moment there’s a whole lot more Palestinians who are getting actually cleansed, killed, burned and whose lives are in danger, than there are people exposed to whatever antisemitic symptoms there are in Europe. Islamophobia is also on the rise, and nobody is calling any solidarity marches for that. Palestinians are the more pressing subject, a ceasefire is the priority demand.

There’s also the fact that, in the Palestinian case, there is a well defined action to take, that’s not being taken, and the protests are a pressure to take it; as opposed to non-actionable solidarity marches.

I’ll let others delve into answers of intent and perception, things like “it’s a diversion attempt” for example.

  8. A lot of the posts in this thread are likely from bots (unflaired usernames with random assortments of letters or combinations of two random words connected by a hyphen, new accounts that got their karma spamming a weird image sub or old accounts with almost no karma).

Maybe I just didn’t notice it before but the Israel/Palestine threads (from all sides) have been really bad recently. I wonder how many of us have spent hours raging in response to comments that have been written by fake accounts.

  9. The French population during ww2 contributed alot to the killings of Jews it was for a long time they blamed the Germans for it but the Germans hardly had the time or resources most of the killings at least in France were French Catholics killing their French Jewish neighbors.

Plus it’s the French they hate everyone, they aren’t gonna march unless it means they can work 1 year less.

  10. Understandable. Most French people are not Jewish.

Humans are selfish creatures, this is normal human behavior.

  11. Can be difficult to feel sorry for Jews, they overwhelmingly vote for the policies that invite millions of the antisemitic barbarians to their homes.

  12. France has the biggest left community that tend to support Gaza over Israel. There is nothing wrong to support Palestine and condemn Hamas actions towards innocent Israeli citizens but many west people especially youth prefer to close eyes about kidnapping Jews and mass murdering. West students tear a posters about kidnapped Israelis, that’s crazy af. Europe is not safe for jews…again.

  13. We shouldn’t point fingers at Russians and their passive attitude towards Putin when this is how we react towards the Jews and their communities being attacked.

  14. While the French are very good at protesting and despite having both the largest Jewish community and the Muslim community in Europe, France has nothing to do with this conflict and want no part in it.

So don’t make it about France.

Pro Palestinian rallies have been prohibited early on to avoid spill of hatred in the streets, Pro Israeli rallies were attended by high-ranked politicians and celebrities.

Both Jewish and Palestinians supporters got their voices and opinions heard on daily basis for a month now and we are tired of it.

But jews and Muslims should know better. We have no mean to fix it from here. If there was a solution to this almost century old conflict, we would have found it already.

  15. seems to me french people gives a shit about religion in general

  16. Most French people are not interested in marching in support of Apartheid 🇮🇱 is probably more true, I suspect most French people are not anti semetic either and would support the Jewish community on that topic

  17. Correction: “most people don’t seem interested in anything”

  18. The president support to Israel and Jewish is enough don’t you think.

  19. Maybe because the French dont want this fucking conflict imported in their country.
