Absolutely fair play to that mother, she should be an example to other parents who find themselves in the same situation instead of making excuses; This is the kind of case where you don’t mind seeing a suspended sentence to be honest- Looks like a lad who just got caught up in the wrong crowd but had the support he’ll need to get through it.
If only there were more mas like that. Well done to her. And to the lad for turning his life around and getting away from it. That can’t have been easy at all.
He won’t be externally grateful when he’s trying to travel outside Europe or get a job.

Did she just put her son and the rest of the family into a shit load of debt? The garda will gladly turn up and take the son and the drugs away, but when people are knocking in and treating you for money, what will their response be? There was better ways to deal with this without getting the garda involved, screw her son’s future with a drugs charge and put herself and family in a load of debt.

If only all our mothers and fathers had their parents take the pint out of their hand when they were 19.
But there was no option to bring them to court for having a few drinks and developing an alcohol dependancy.
It difficult for me to think of a single older adult that doesn’t drink almost at least every day once… How many of us are the same!? How many of us have mothers that through most of our teenage and early adult years would be drinking herself to sleep each night .
And still they think is DIfFEReNt with cannabis.
Yea.. both fuck you up. But dont pretend they are massively different and one is the devil when one is not. They both are or they both are not. Let’s ban coffee while we are at it.. social media too. Make em illegal.
