  1. When democracy doesn’t go how they want it to, it’s time for plan B.

  2. This is why yall needa vote them out. You all voted in favor of something and they are openly discussing going AGAINST the people of Ohio. Wake up and vote those ppl out.

  3. Bold strategy, Cotton; let’s see if it works out for them.

  4. All that’s left for the GOP is manufacturing bullshit crises that disappear the day after elections (the Migrant caravan, her emails, Hunter Biden, the Biden payoff, CRT, etc…) for the dumbest assholes on the planet, and the conviction that they should be able to subvert the will of the electorate.

  5. The GOP continues to show it does not respect democracy and the people’s choices. Rather than working on bipartisanship, they revert to strong arm tactics. Keep voting them out

  6. Republican continue their attacks on Voter supported Amendments, will hopefully bring out even more people to vote to push back on Republican Agenda.

people are not going to accept Republican Autocratic Agenda and its continued efforts to repress people and suppress the choices of individuals. People are not going to allow Republicanism to create a Dictatorship over their lives and then try and censor everything that people choose to do with their lives.

**Keep standing up and keep voting people, and demolish this Tyrannical Agenda of Republicanism** `!!!!`

  7. Republicans cry about democracy until the people vote for something they don’t like.

  8. Right on cue ! You think when trump that dummy losses again he isn’t lying about fraud…..again!🤷‍♂️

  9. They want to use the revenue from marijuana tax on county jails and police training? Really? Jfc

  10. Surprise, surprise – the GOP doesn’t respect the will of the voters.

They keep telling us they are autocrats. We really do need to believe them. We can’t let them have power under any circumstance, or we will lose all of our power.

  11. Repubs can’t have the people just freely voting for the policies and society they want! Something must be done!

  12. They don’t want to govern, they want to rule. This why they’ll keep losing.

  13. But conservatives always tell me that elections have consequences…

  14. It happened in Florida. Voters overwhelmingly voted to give felons the right to vote. The GOP found loopholes that went against the will of the people making it very difficult for felons to vote, then went as far to mail voter registration cards to felons who didn’t meet the GOP requirements and unbelievably arrested them when they tried to vote. They arrested a 69 year old lady at 3:00 am for voter fraud.

  15. “We don’t agree with the voters, therefore we must remove their ability to vote” is a really strong message to send in The Greatest Democracy In The World™.

  16. Republicans not respecting the outcome of a vote? Crazy.

  17. >This was a landslide victory, and I can’t believe that in 2023 we’re actually talking about elected officials no respecting the will of the voters

You know what? I can. Republicans don’t want to get in line with voters. They want voters to stop voting for shit they don’t like.

  18. Ignoring the will of the voters … ok, there’s a solution for that.

  19. But what about the will of the people? Oh that’s right, they proved they didn’t give a shit about that when they voted not to certify Biden’s election win.

  20. Lol I’ve already heard the phrase “we are a representative republic, not a direct democracy” by some Republican sore losers who are pissed about this.

  21. North Carolina is a good playbook for other GOP politicians to follow: no ballot initiatives from the public, no public recalls on officials, and a district map gerrymandered to hell.

Best advice for other Red or Purple states: Vote Democrat at every level especially for State Supreme Court, bc they’ll be the last line of defense against nullifying your voice!

  22. Ohio is NOT a red state it’s just illegally gerrymandered. Now its time to take back control.

  23. “This was a landslide victory, and I can’t believe that in 2023 we’re actually talking about elected officials not respecting the will of the voters,” he said. “And not respecting the outcome of an election.”

Have these people been paying attention… since like 2000 (of not earlier), the GOP has been ignoring the will of voters. The GOP are anti democratic, this isn’t a surprise at all.

  24. A “revolving door of ballot initiatives to repeal or replace Issue 1?”

I dare you, motherfuckers. I fucking dare you. If you were surprised we showed up to stop you from ratfucking us in August, just wait. We will keep turning out and your losses will continue to mount.

  25. The people: “we want free and fair elections and weed.”

The GOP: “you’ll get an abortion ban and a dictatorship and like it.”

  26. “The will of the people!”

    GOP: Not like that!

  27. Back in 2018 this is exactly what Utah did with their Medical Marijuana law.

As soon as it was voted into law they immediately gutted it into a restrictive swamp of red tape.Restricting it from the proposed 40 dispensaries into 7 state run “Marijuana Pharmacies.” Removed a significant number of the qualifying autoimmune diseases from the list of qualifying illnesses among a lot of other frankly unnecessary changes that would make access to medical marijuana significantly more difficult for patients.

And if you think our local busybodies weren’t just patting themselves on the back for meddling in the affairs of everyone else.

    well…from their own statement.

*“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints welcomed the opportunity to participate in a broad community effort to alleviate pain and suffering,” Marty Stephens, director of community and government relations, said in the statement. “Today the passage of the Utah Medical Cannabis Act once again shows how organizations with diverse interests can come together to resolve difficult issues for the benefit of those who suffer while simultaneously protecting our children.”*

For clarity the “Medical Cannabis Act” is the replacement for the law folks actually voted on.

  28. It’s almost like the whole “state’s rights” argument is just a bullshit cover story, whether we’re talking about the Civil War or abortion. Republicans just doing Republican things.
