Hungary will not be able to block the EU’s decision to allocate €50 billion euros to Ukraine for the next four years, European Budget Commissioner Johannes Hahn has said
The European Commissioner said Budapest “will not be able to blackmail the European Union” to unfreeze the funding by taking advantage of the need for a unanimous vote on all issues within the EU.
The official believes that Hungary, which often blocks EU decision-making, in turn has a vested interest in seeing the EU budget passed – because “Hungary is also interested in more money to protect its borders.”
That’s how opposite vote calls in democratic world. “Blackmail”.
I’m glad they’re using the word blackmailing as well.
They need to start using this terminology publicly every time they’re dealing with Hungary’s backstabbing from now on.
It is time to do away with the Liberum Veto powers both within EU and NATO. Both orgs are too large to function effectively with vetoes flying around. Majority rules.
Hungary making friends while sucking Putins wang
Hey, Hungary, your true colors are showing. Sit down and shut up.
