  1. If only people would be more up in arms about all the other stuff Nestle get away with…

  2. Should be lamenting the fact that Nestle is one of the worst companies in human history.

  3. Why bother with caramac when there’s shot loads of better companies doing blonde chocolate

  4. Nobody should be eating anything this company puts out anyway. They are one of the most abhorrent companies on the planet and need to be completely shut down.

  5. Slower sales presumably because every chocolate on earth has a caramac version now. Even munchies and milkybar have their own version, there’s almost no need for a pure caramac bar I suppose

  6. > 3 people lament, 25 million people don’t care, 45 million people ask “what’s a Caramac?”

    That’s the real headline

  7. Nestlé are slave driving, baby-killing bastards.

    The public: I sleep

Nestlé removes a chocolate bar from their lineup.

    The public: REAL SHIT?!

  8. At this point it’s just a boring textbook marketing strategy:

    1. Tell the press you’re discontinuing a chocolate bar.

    2. Receive free national publicity.

    3. Respond to internet “calls” to bring it back.

    4. Announce you’re bringing it back.

    5. Receive more free publicity in the national media.

    6. Receive sales bump.

    7. Select next product for “axing”.

    8. Repeat.

  9. It’s always felt like a surprisingly costly bar, perhaps all the moreso as it lacks cocoa content – but I do (did) enjoy one once in a while.

    Gits.

  10. I’ve never ever come across one. (Sounds like a fusion between caramel and tarmac.)

  11. I have lived in England my entire life and have never seen one of these chocolate bars.

  12. Honestly if that’s your only problem with Nestle you deserve to lose it

  13. Crazy amount of posts deleted here. I’m willing to bet OP /mods are being paid by this company absolutely disgusting business and ethical practices around the world?

  14. I’ve honestly never heard of this or seen it sold anywhere and I’m in my 30s

  15. Cadbury makes a Caramilk bar which is fairly similar if anyone is really missing these.

  16. Nestle: We are sorry to inform you that we have to axe the Caramac bar. We have strict internal standards that each bar should be responsible for the death and / or maiming of 6.2 children per bar, and due to new international oversight with have barely scraped 6.02 children killed and / or maimed per bar. We are deeply sorry and disappointed in ourselves that we have not managed to reach these proud standards, and we hope to steal all the water from another African nation to make up for this.
