Hello everyone, I have a issue I’m hoping someone living in Germany can help me with. My 14 year old daughter is receiving payments to her bank account but I know she isn’t working. Initially she gave me some story about selling drones (?) on Amazon but obviously that’s complete bullshit. I have this very poor picture of something that resembles a German page (from the language). Does anyone recognize what website looks like this and what type of stuff a teenager would sell on there? Obviously I’m worried because she isn’t being truthful with me but there is also the issue that she’s a minor and if she’s doing god forbid something of sexual nature like selling pictures or something there might be legal repercussions from this. Would appreciate all help. Sorry for shitty photo, it’s all I have at the moment.

There’s something about “commissions”, and on the bottom it says that her account is frozen.
That makes me think she might be involved in what is called a “task scam”. The end goal of that is to make people think they are doing extremely simple work, which they need to “unlock” by sending cryptocurrency. They make fake money. Once they’ve made a lot of that fake money, they need to unlock payouts by sending more cryptocurrency.
The point of the whole operation is to get as much cryptocurrency out of the person as possible.
So it would be definitely a good thing to warn her that you *never* pay money to get money.
If it’s not a task scam, she technically could be selling drones on Amazon or eBay or something like that. Dropshipping is a thing that exists. Customer buys item on Amazon, you buy item from AliExpress and ship it to customer. Pocket the difference.
She might have gotten in trouble because she can’t prove that she’s old enough to be doing these things.
Although I am usually not in favor of cutting down on a child’s electronics or their access to the internt, In this case I am all in favor of taking her complete electronics hostage and sitting her down for a talk. I also would recommend pulling the plug on her bank account access.
She needs to either tell you all about what is going on, or she will not get them back. And depending on what she did, you will need to continue to restrict things here. She’s just 14, she isn’t legally allowed to sell things on the internet yet, not even on amazon or anywhere else.
Even if she just “sold” things on amazon, she is not able to legally engage in contracts yet at 14 and can do no stuch things without parental signature, at least not legally. So at the very least, she can get in trouble for pretending she’s older than she truly is, and potentially scamming people, which in and on itself can be counted as fraud – and if she did so, and her true age gets found out, you as the parent are along for the resulting damage and reimbursements to third parties.
You should point out that she is legally no longer seen as a child but a youth, and that she can land herself in legal trouble even when she’s just 14. And while you as parent will carry the financial repercussions should she be involved in scaming people or other illegal things, your daughter is punishable by youth law even at this age and can get her entire future destroyed by thist. Youth punishments are not neccessarily completely deleted when she turns 18 and a clean police record is still a requirement for many good jobs and official things… so she can really set herself up for a bad thing here.
If she just sold stuff on amazon, which I doubt, that’s bad enough. She can’t do that at 14. You need to dissolve the shop and clean up behind her and hope there was no fraud involved. If she’s selling pictures of herself, or if she’s involved in scams of some sort, she might already be in legal trouble, and you need to figure out how deep and potentially get police involved. IF she’s spreading pictures of herself, you have to be aware that she will never get the pictures back, an potentially set herself up for a whole host of problems in her future. The internet never forgets images, and there will be times when she will feel disgusted about this. Plus, if it’s been naked pictures, she could be in trouble with the law for spreading and owning them, as stupid as it sounds, even if she made them herself. And in this case you really, absolutely need the police involved to spare her the blunt end of the repercussions.
Even if it’s something comparably harmless, she’s still a child, and not legally allowed to enter into contracts without your signature yet. Almost all sides that involve selling and buying things restrict this to a certain age because it is simply not legal. This, at the very least, needs to be unravelled, and it may be that she has to return all the money, too.
All of this sounds harsh, and she will hate you for this, but you need to break her off this habit quickly and teach her a lesson about responsible behavior on the internet. This is serious. Very serious. This is one of the moments when you really need to be strict about stuff, and pull out the harsh punishments no matter what they think. It’s for their own good.
The middle says „Automatch“. The avatar on bottom right shows a woman with a headset.
So she basically gets connected to someone for something
Edit: why is the picture cropped at the top?
Lass sie einfach geld machen
have a look at the internet history ? unfortunately i can’t find anything with google lens etc.. i don’t understand the date either… if it’s 11.04, it would have been longer ago in germany. first the day and then the month. Europe DD/MM/YY America MM/DD/YY
Is she drawing?
Many people sell art commissions online. Prices are usually between a few Euros and hundreds, depending on the art skill.
Best would be to ask her again.
I mean, she is 14. And though she isn’t allowed to sell anything without your agreement anyway.
You could log the internet activity with your router or set up a dns server that logs the dns requests.
