She says the right things, but just doesn’t seem to know how to connect with people and why we should care. Her basket of deplorables statement was spot on. Hitler was also charged with treason and sentenced to five years in prison (only serving eight months). He got such a light sentence because he ended up charming the judge at his trial with an impassioned (albeit likely antisemitic and disgustingly bigoted) speech… Donald Trump on the other hand, is antagonizing the judge overseeing his trial and punishment…
Also Hitler managed to write an entire book in prison, Trump could never write a book on his own, no matter the time he’s given.
Hitler’s imprisonment however, did improve his popularity. It was really what jump started his rise to Chancellor and political leadership.
Trump doesn’t have that much time, nor are the circumstances as convenient for him as they were for Hitler back then, also, and I hate saying this, but Hitler was much smarter than Trump.

Luckily the election is one year away. But the same polls among Democrats themselves also show a majority want a different candidate other than Biden. I’m assuming they like Biden, but not that he’s nearing 81 soon and would be 84 when leaving office.
I’m with Hillary here. We don’t need to act like it’s over as there is still a year. But we also can’t be close to complacent like we were in past elections or we all will pay the heaviest price.
