Just Stop Oil activists ‘block ambulance on blue lights’ on Waterloo Bridge – as police make arrests

1. If trying to destroy cultural assets weren’t enough, blocking an ambulance will surely piss off more people.

   If you’re protesting, and you fail to move for an ambulance and the person dies (or suffers life-changing injuries as a result of delayed emergency care) you should be liable.

2. Just stop Oil already posted on their page that they were not heading the same way as the ambulance and the ambulance was behind the police block. They shot back saying they would blamed for this?

3. Drop the “oil” from the name and there’s their answer, perfect.

4. So there was room for the ambulance to get through. I’m really surprised that the MET, that spotless organisation, kept that information from us..

As much as I appreciate they can’t (shout out to all the people in here that pointed out that they can’t due to legal orders barring them from protesting at refineries or Oil HQs – shout out at going for Total a couple of months ago though) and it’s the signs of absolute desperation (e.g. the world is fucked in the next 25 to 35 years lets do anything to try and get in the news) but I still think they should be going after the likes of ExxonMobil who are an absolute Cancer on society. Just go for their offices in Leatherhead. There’s not really that many jail places available in the country, what’s the worst that’s going to happen?

8. I’m wondering what the reaction would be from a supporter if it was one of their family members in the ambulance.

   Would they change their stance?
   Or, rather worryingly, would they consider the family member merely collateral damage.

9. I’m not huge on Just Stop Oil but there’s been a lot of attack stories run on them that quickly get walked back once they’re proven to be bollocks but after the damage is already done these past few days.

11. It’s strange how as soon as Corbyn was no longer around to keep the Tories in power, this group of crazies funded by billionaires appeared to help keep the Tories in power 🤔

12. One day all of you people that don’t support JSO will look like the stupidest generation in history, and that is extremely generous, because some of you are smart enough to understand the situation, and are something far worse than stupid.

13. At the very least JSO are providing more ammunition to the Government to scrap the Human Rights Act.
