Urgh I despise the ADF. They donate to everything that fits their version of Christian morals. Members of the LGB Alliance and Sex Matters have done stuff with them before which is why I always laugh when they call them ‘feminists.’ This country is going to shit.
We need more transparency for funding.
It might be a thing in the US where religion is more of a battleground, but I thought the UK has more than enough people in favour of abortion being accessible that this will be a losing fight for them
People say banning abortion could never happen in the UK, I think it could.
With our birthrate at sub-replacement levels, I opine that said money is anything but dark.
Trying to make criminals of those who would appeal for those seeking an abortion in such circumstances to reconsider at the eleventh hour? That, on the other hand, is dark indeed. So far, that freedom is what this Alliance is seeking to defend by its actions in this country, despite the thoroughly vicious characterisation it receives here. I note that the repeal of Roe v Wade does nothing to criminalise abortion *per se*.
I need not, but append anyway, that for what should be obvious reasons, there is no justification whatever for criminalising abortion; given, however, that purchase of Nitrous Oxide without ‘justification’, sale of Menthol Cigarettes, placing ‘unhealthy’ food on the wrong shelves in a supermarket etc. have all been made crimes by our insane government, it is not even close to being beyond the bounds of possibility that it may too be criminalised in this country.
But if it is, ‘dark money’, ‘Tufton St.’ or ‘protesters harassing vulnerable women’ will have had sweet F.A. to do with it. The same perhaps could not be said about those who facilely argued “they should go protest legislators for a change in the law, not vulnerable women going about their business”.
I have been saying for years that American evangelicals are a massive massive risk to the UK. Well funded and desperate to push there culture wars BS. They want places like the U.K. and Australia to fall in line with all the Jesus and Guns.
