My local fruit and veg shop shows what a plate of each potato looks like when cooked. What do people think of this concept? Is it a step too far or an example of Irish people’s love of a good spud?

Hell of a service.
Who eats spuds anymore though?
Balls of flour
Spud porn so it is.
Unless they refresh them every couple of hours, or at least every day, it seems like a rather moronic idea.
People who come in tomorrow and are greeted by the sight of Mondays freshly cooked spuds are hardly going to be looking at them thinking that’s what they fancy for dinner ?
Feck, I though they were free samples. I was walking around the shop eating one.
They look great.
Wasteful and inviting pests, health and safety would probably tell them to cop on.
I like it
Amazing idea !!
Ew. Not buyin em now
There used to be a shop in Wilton shopping centre that did this a few years ago. I always wondered are you just meant to look at it or can you poke it (for science obvs)
Too flowery for me and all broken to bits,
It’s a good idea but that sight wouldn’t encourage me to buy a bag.
Do they get eaten?
Good
Good marketing decent idea honestly
I think this is top class makes me hungry looking at decent spud.
Oh that’s dangerous.
They’re gonna get ate
I love it. It’s stone mad but still
Spuds are good
They could have at least drawn some faces on them.
It’s a bit late for Queen’s and Pink no?
A place near me have them by the roadside can see the plate of spuds when driving by.
god i wish i was eating mash right now
Phuck me! It makes think the Irish can’t cook a versatile vegetable, let alone a potato!
