  1. To be voted on by members, I would expect it to be accepted. Hopefully the end of this dispute

  2. Sounds like the strikes did the job and reminded them how important the workers are.

  3. So nothing will change and the service will remain hugely expensive, unreliable and overcrowded.

  4. My prediction is the RMT will settle, but ASLEF will then dial it up to 11. December and early January on the trashpile same as last time.

I’d normally take the train home for Christmas but am actively considering alternatives this year.

  5. No doubt this will be reflected onto ticket prices. Which will drive up public transport premium

I will then have redditors continue screeching in my ear about why i shouldnt drive a car and should be using public transport instead!

  6. Amazing what can be achieved when the government are 20 points behind in the polls.

  7. Don’t forget that the last “unconditional offer” was predicated on accepting the condition (lol) of not being able to strike for 6 months after it was accepted aka enough time to ram through whatever changes the DfT wanted.

  8. And here we are, two years later, at the point we were always going to arrive at in the end.

The rail execs should be put on trial for the amount of damage they’ve done to the London/UK economy.

  9. Wonder if government are using the israel/palestine story to quietly end these disputes without too much fanfare for the power of collective bargaining.
