Sorry–new here! I saw [this](https://news.err.ee/1609157569/northern-lights-again-seen-over-estonia) news report and could use some help locating a place to see the aurora borealis…help!
There is a facebook group called “Eestimaa Virmalised” which is quite active and if there’s a chance to see them, a post will be made with predictions. Otherwise you can follow the graphs yourself [here](https://virmalised.ee/monitooring/) but it’s not very straightforward.
And a place to see them, basically anywhere where there’s no light pollution. So a bit away from the city and facing North. But just a heads up, while all the pictures look amazing and colorful, most of the time to the human eye they appear like a greyish fog in the sky(atleast in this region). Sometimes they’re powerful enough that you’ll see different colours and waves, but more often it’s not that noticeable.
EDIT: if you join the facebook group, please read everything before and don’t make a post “when can i see auroras” cause there’s a lot of new people joining who ask this and nobody can predict it.
As to when you can see northern lights, I recommend keeping an eye on this site: [https://virmalised.ee/monitooring/](https://virmalised.ee/monitooring/)

Check [www.lightpollutionmap.info](https://www.lightpollutionmap.info) to find the closest least polluted place to you
