I just spent £3 ordering this: it was the first time I heard Oasis, which had the stand-out track on this mad FREE cd. And Rocks, obv.

TBH I’m buying memories. These were the best days of my life.

Don’t even have a cd player. Hopefully the PS5 might know what it is

edit: Just to explain, for our younger readers: Magazines used to have free CDs stuck to their cover. Also, Magazines were like glossy newspapers that were published monthly or bi/weekly. Also newspapers, they were like websites but you would buy them every day. Yeh, does sound weird

  1. Ha! I still have my copy of this together with the magazine it came with. Some great music on there but quite how Jamiroquai made the cut amongst this legion of great bands remains a mystery.

  2. My sound of the 90s was free Q mag cds along with karrang mix ones. Brings back memories of car journeys

  3. Flexidiscs were the best, must have been cheaper to produce them and ship with the magazines.

Think I’ve still got the free Smash Hits Smashing Hits! cassette somewhere.
