For those of you clamoring for a PlayStation 5 remake or sequel for Bloodborne, PlayStation Lifestyle reports that something bigger might be on the way. According to an insider, a Bloodborne film is in the works at PlayStation Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Reddit user DanielRPK has stated that the film’s script will be penned by Darren Lemke, whose previous credits include Goosebumps, Shazam!, and Gemini Man, to name a few. The user also said that Bloodborne will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who is behind the G.I. Joe and the Transformers series.
DanielRPK is a known leaker who has shown in the past regarding his superhero film leaks to be a reliable source.
DanielRPK also included the following summary for the film: “Bloodborne follows the player’s character, a Hunter, through the decrepit Gothic, Victorian-era-inspired city of Yharnam, whose inhabitants are afflicted with a blood-borne disease which transforms the residents, called Yharnamites, into honorific beasts. Attempting to find the rouse of the plague, the player’s character unravels the city’s mysteries while fighting beasts and cosmic beings.”
As with everything, you have to take this with a grain of salt. However, given Sony’s recent ventures into adapting their franchises for TV and film (such as Tom Holland’s Uncharted, HBO’s The Last Of Us and Peacock’s Twisted Metal), this may well be the next one.

Won’t work as a film. Too dark, too violent, silent hero, too much non traditional storytelling. Writer and producer are terrible and wrong.
Could work as an animated series with heavily stylised visuals.

I’m not even getting greedy and asking for a sequel, just a patch to make a very hard game control more responsively
