  1. > Yet rising demands for timber and charcoal to fuel infrastructure and population growth continue to contribute to the unsustainable harvesting of forests. Although the country depends on less biomass energy than neighboring Tanzania and Uganda, fuelwood still makes up around 70% of Kenya’s energy needs.

If Kenya is willing to put in an effort to improve the climate by planting trees, we should make an effort by funding a few green energy resources. Buying Kenya a windmill park or two would hardly be felt by Europe or the US.

  2. You need to do more than just plant them. They need to be watered and cared for. Otherwise its a waste of time and resources.

  3. Canada here: can we do this too? I like days off and planting things.

  4. Great idea. You need to know how to inspire the peasants. They’ll never do this on their own, but on their corporate overlords time and money? Sign us up!

  5. That’s got to be the best holiday idea ever, awesome kenya

  6. Very good news. This should be mandatory world wide wherever trees are able to grow. All people of this world should help replanting trees so that we in old age and our children can live in a better world.
