However they will chase bucks in just about every other way imaginable.
Apparently won’t “chase bucks” by producing high quality content for what were supposed to be “prestigious” IP worth multi-billion dollar investments and instead relegate that content to the 21st century version of “straight to home video”. Interesting move there.
Someone must be asking why spend 70 billion to gobble up 20th Century Fox? Was the goal buying up a massive amount of IPs all at once for the purpose of diversifying Disney’s portfolio into more mature audiences or was the goal just keeping a large slate of Marvel’s most famous (and profitable) characters out of the hands of other studios and proceed to do not even pretend projects are in the works with those characters? Because it’s really looking like the latter.

“We decided it was too convenient for people to have one streaming account.”
The Sound of Music on Netflix please
A one day ticket to one of their parks costs over $200 but OK Disney don’t chase bucks.
