  1. I’m no historian or expert on this matter, but
    >the table had remembrance crosses for specific regiments – including the SAS, Ulster Defence Regiment, Police Service of Northern Ireland and RUC

This feels, at the very least, insensitive.

  2. The title of the article doesn’t mention that the seller was also selling UDR and RUC memorabilia, which is obviously what the woman (rightfully) had an issue with.

Of course, it gets more clicks to make out like the poppies were the issue.

  3. The complaints were nothing to do with the poppies or Remembrance Day- she was also selling RUC and UDR memorabilia, and I’d think that’s what was likely to have made a woman of that age from that particular area quite worked up.

Regardless of this woman’s actions, charity workers shouldn’t be using their position to sell politically controversial stuff for their own benefit.

  4. More poison from the Daily Mail. “ARE YOU FURIOUS YET? IF NOT, TURN TO THE NEXT PAGE…AND THE NEXT…AND THE NEXT.”

  5. The poppy is controversial among the Celtic-Irish for whatever reason, despite its intended meaning.

  6. The hell is up with the influx of Daily Heil links recently? It is literally one of, if not the single least reliable sources of news.

  7. For the benefit of Britons who know next to nothing about NI.

This woman selling this military tat, including support for Soldier F and paramilitaries, has been kicked out of the DUP for being a looper, just to give yous some insight.

The party who’s leadership believe the earth to be just over 6000 years old and that the people of Northern Ireland are actually a lost tribe of Israelites, believe this woman to be too insane to associate with.
